Maleah Rose

Raised in a community rich with bellydance and live music, Maleah Rose is a fusion bellydancer whose improvisational performances bridge tradition, rhythm, and theatrical storytelling. She began dancing at the age of five, training in modern, hip-hop, and ballet, before discovering the expressive freedom of Fusion Bellydance. Maleah has been studying with Zoe Jakes of Beats Antique and recently performed in Zoe’s traveling theatrical production, The House of Tarot, in Oakland. She is also a member of Jill Parker’s company, Mind’s Eye—performing regularly throughout the Bay Area alongside the woman known as the mother of fusion Bellydance. Deeply inspired by live music, Maleah has collaborated with numerous Bay Area bands and solo artists, including Briana Di Mara, violinist of Dirtwire, Axon Orkestra, Trianna Feruza, Orkestar Seyir, A Clever North Wind, among others. Her work explores the third space between performer and audience—where movement and sound meet to create a shared, unrepeatable experience.
